Schedule verify and pack actions

Rather than scheduling Verify item or Pack actions one by one, schedule them in bulk for a group of request items that match the same criteria. This is useful when a request has many items that share the same status, or when you want to prepare a batch of items for technicians to process.

Opening the schedule dialog

From a distribution request details page, open the scheduling dialog:

  • Click Schedule actions to schedule either Verify item or Pack actions for filtered items.
  • Click Pack item list to schedule Pack actions directly.

The dialog lists the items on the request and lets you choose which action to schedule and which items to include.

Filtering items

The scheduling dialog uses the same item filters as the request details page. Narrow the list by item status, source site, inventory details, and other fields so that actions are created only for the items you want to process. Item status is the most common filter: for example, schedule Pack actions only for items in PENDING status, or schedule Verify item actions for items that have just been packed.

The filtered count is shown before you confirm, so you can verify how many actions will be created.

Scheduling verify actions

To schedule Verify item actions for a filtered set of items:

  1. Open the scheduling dialog.
  2. Select Verify item as the action type.
  3. Apply the desired filters.
  4. Click Schedule.

The system creates a pending Verify item action for each matching item. The actions then appear in the request checklist and in the Actions tab, where technicians can scan items to complete them.

Scheduling pack actions

To schedule Pack actions for a filtered set of items:

  1. Open the scheduling dialog.
  2. Select Pack as the action type.
  3. Apply the desired filters.
  4. Click Schedule.

The system creates a pending Pack action for each matching item. Technicians can then open the Packaging page and scan the items.

Checklist and action counts

The request details page shows counts derived from the action schedule. After scheduling actions, the counts for Verify item and Pack actions update to reflect pending, in-progress, and completed work.

The checklist also displays recently verified items so technicians can see which items have already been processed and which still need attention.
