Pathogens and symptoms

Use the Test features > Pathogens page to manage pathogen records and their relationships to symptoms, geographic areas, and taxonomy.

Pathogen records

The Pathogen tab lists pathogen records. Use the filter panel to search by name or other fields. Select one or more rows to edit or remove them, or use the floating action button to add a new pathogen.

The add and edit forms are generated from the pathogen entity, so the fields match the data model defined by your administrator.

Pathogen mappings

The page has three additional tabs that define how pathogens relate to other data:

  • Geography maps: link a pathogen to one or more geographic areas.
  • Symptom maps: link a pathogen to the symptoms it causes.
  • Taxonomy species maps: link a pathogen to affected taxonomy species.

Each mapping tab works the same way: filter the list, add new mappings, or select existing mappings to edit or remove them.

Symptoms

Open Test features > Symptoms to manage the symptom records used in pathogen maps. The symptom browse page uses the same generated table and form pattern: filter the list, add a new symptom, or select rows to edit or remove them.
