GGCE in action: visualizing our global reach

The GGCE community is growing steadily. The platform supports collection management in community seed banks and national or international genebanks worldwide.

We are introducing the GGCE Deployment Map to showcase the diverse institutions adopting the software.

The map follows suggestions from the GGCE Advisory Group meeting on 23 June 2026 (see the meeting minutes). The group noted that showcasing current users and their adoption status promotes further uptake and demonstrates real-world impact.

GGCE is used in Africa, Latin America, Asia, Europe, and Australia. The map provides a visual overview of these deployments.

Help us keep the map accurate​

We want to ensure deployment information remains current. We invite institutions using GGCE, or those planning to implement it, to help us maintain the map.

Is your institution missing from the map or is the information outdated?

Contact us at support@ggce.genesys-pgr.org with the following information:

  • Institute name: A short name for the map and the full official name.
  • Location: Country and region.
  • Deployment status: Whether you are exploring GGCE, in implementation, or in active use.
  • Timeline: The year implementation started and the year it became active, if applicable.
  • Map coordinates: Latitude and longitude of your facility.

We look forward to seeing the map grow as the GGCE community expands.
