Tolerance in germination tests
We added the calculation of the 2.5% tolerance for germination testing in one laboratory. The fixed values come from the Tukey/studentized range distribution (Miles S.R. (1963) Handbook of Tolerances and Measures of Precision for Seed Testing. Proceedings of the International Seed Testing Association 28(3), 641-685.)
The actual and the maximum tolerated range alert is displayed when completing a viability test with two, three or four replicates:
You can still make the final decision if the test is conclusive or inconclusive.
