Two major improvements are planned for 2024: better automation with customizable workflows and a new system of email notifications and alerts.
Workflows in GGCE
The workflows allow for declaring sets of consecutive activities on accessions and inventories. Each activity can be assigned to an individual user or a user group, notifying them when the process can start. When an activity is completed, the accession automatically transitions to the next step in the workflow.
Notifications and alerts
Users will be able to subscribe to specific events or changes in data, and to periodic reports generated by the system. Notifications will be compiled and delivered as email messages to subscribers.
